Cast Away! Bait Shop is now FFL licensed.

FFL Transfers

We accept FFL transfers. We would encourage you to check our shop for the product you are looking for first (we can quickly order most items), by stopping in or calling us, before ordering from another dealer. In doing so, you are supporting a LOCAL FAMILY OWNED business, with people who live in your community, allowing us to stay in business, transfer those hard to find items when needed, help with firearms related problems, etc. Thank you for understanding and we appreciate you and your business!

Please follow the guidelines below to make the transaction as smooth and easy as possible:

*We would appreciate a heads-up for incoming transfers, but this is not necessary.

*All transfers must be shipped from an FFL dealer.

*Please have the dealer you have purchased from contact us at ffl@castawaybaitshop.com, to obtain a copy of our FFL.

*The transfer charge is $35.00 per long gun and $45.00 per handgun.

*We can not accept NFA items at this time.

*We will contact you via the name & phone number on the supplied paperwork when your transfer arrives in our store and is ready for pick up. If you are tracking the shipment, there is no need to call the store to inquire about the status of your order. We process all shipments in accordance with federal regulations, in the order that they are received. We kindly ask you to give us at least 24 hours after we receive your transfer for processing time and to contact you.

*Any firearm(s) left in our possession after 30 days will incur a $35 per month storage fee, beginning one month from the date we receive it. After 90 days, the firearm(s) will be considered abandoned and become property of Cast Away! Bait Shop, LLC. without any compensation to the transferee.

*Firearms shipped to us must be picked up by the person designated on the included paperwork. Anyone picking up a firearm must clear the NICS background check via a form 4473. If the firearm is a handgun, you will need to clear the Wisconsin DOJ background check.

*If the person expected to pick up the firearm can not pass the required background check, please be prepared to pay shipping back to the sending FFL, or be subject to the previous point on forfeiture.

PLEASE NOTE: Having a firearm transferred in to us means you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
